A LPA allows you to appoint a trusted person(s) who acts on your behalf to look after specific aspects of our financial affairs or health and welfare if we have lost mental capacity. e.g. coma, dementia etc..
Making an LPA also allows our loved ones to save thousands of dollars for applying to be a deputy from court and avoid potential disputes within the family for decisions making if we should lose capacity to make our own decisions.
